Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Spanish Interpreter to become part of our dedicated team. This position demands a professional who can deliver fluent and precise interpretation between Spanish and English, ensuring effective communication among diverse community members and service providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate in-person interpreting sessions between Spanish-speaking clients and English-speaking professionals.
  • Provide accurate and contextually relevant interpretation while preserving the original message.
  • Uphold ethical standards that safeguard the confidentiality and neutrality of the interpretation process.
  • Assist in translating written materials from Spanish to English and vice versa as required.
  • Engage in ongoing training to improve language proficiency and grasp specialized terminology across various fields.
  • Handle scheduling and client interactions with professionalism and reliability.
Required Qualifications
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English with outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional interpreting experience.
  • Preferred certification from a recognized interpreting organization (e.g., CCHI, NBCMI).
  • Strong awareness of cultural differences in both languages.
  • Exceptional listening, retention, and note-taking capabilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • Willingness to accommodate flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends.
