Parking Attendant Coordinator

SP Plus Corporation is driven by a promise to make every moment matter for a world on the go. As a Parking Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our parking facilities are secure, clean, and well-managed.
Job Responsibilities- Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience.
- Count vehicles on location throughout the shift, as needed, to maintain optimal parking capacity.
- Write and issue violation warnings to tenants and visitors who violate garage policies, promoting a safe and respectful environment.
- Patrol transient and reserved parking levels on foot or in customized motor carts, if applicable, to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Provide assistance to customers who have forgotten where they parked their vehicle, demonstrating empathy and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times, reflecting positively on SP Plus Corporation's values and standards.
- Courteously assist Customers by answering any questions they may have, directing them to the Facility Manager for further assistance if necessary.
- Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed, ensuring a smooth flow of vehicles and pedestrians.
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of parking equipment and general maintenance tasks as directed by the Facility Manager, demonstrating a proactive approach to facility management.
- Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager, prioritizing safety and security.
- Communicate debris, water, oil spills, and other issues to the garage office, maintaining open lines of communication and ensuring prompt resolution.
- Substitute for Valets when necessary, if authorized, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage, major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area, providing valuable insights and support to customers and colleagues alike.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with one month of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A valid state-issued driver's license, with a current address and acceptable driving record, is required if the individual is expected to drive a company vehicle or drive on company business.
- The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, as well as write simple correspondence, is essential.
- Effective communication and presentation skills are required to present information in one-on-one situations to customers and other employees.
The estimated salary range for this position is $13.00 per hour, based on the title, job responsibilities, and location. Please note that salaries may vary depending on factors such as location, experience, and qualifications.
