Project Manager Job Description

At Salem Sports Events LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our construction delivery projects. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for project delivery, ensuring timely and budget-friendly completion to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Delivery: Oversee and manage the project delivery process from inception to completion, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary client point of contact, maintaining regular communication to provide updates, clarify scope, and manage delivery.
  • Project Planning and Management: Plan, manage, and drive the full project life-cycle with internal and external stakeholders, including inception, design, commercial operations, fabrication, installation, teardown, debrief, and client follow-up.
  • Revenue and Profit Management: Drive and achieve project revenue, gross profit, and client satisfaction goals.
  • Scope Definition and Capture: Accurately define and capture event/project scope of work for new and existing projects.
  • Documentation and Communication: Generate and maintain appropriate project documentation, including submissions, approvals, SOWs, POs, schedule, change orders, etc.
  • Schedule Development and Management: Develop, maintain, monitor, communicate, and drive the project schedule.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate with resource leaders to ensure resources are available to support the project timeline.
  • Change Order Management: Identify, capture, communicate, and resolve change orders as they arise.
  • Invoice Submission and Collection: Timely submission of invoices and follow-up on collections.
  • Client Relationship Development: Meet with event staff regularly to finalize scope, facilitate execution, foster the relationship, and drive account growth.
  • Site Visits: Periodically visit event/project sites to monitor and ensure on-time delivery.
Requirements:
  • Education: Construction management degree preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of construction project management experience preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent project management and organizational abilities, including attention to detail, follow-up, and thoroughness. Ability to maintain client relationships, ensure high client satisfaction, and strengthen client relationships.
Work Environment:

This position primarily works in an office environment when not traveling. The position secondarily works in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity. The noise level in the work environment is commensurate with a construction site.

This is a full-time position with fluctuating days and hours of work during travel. When not traveling, this position requires office work in the Winston Salem office during regular business hours. Days and hours of work are dictated by the nature of the project, which can include long hours and weekend work. This position involves travel of up to 50+ days per year.
