LOCATION: In-person role at the designated center.

Our mission is to equip them with the essential technical and professional skills necessary for achieving their aspirations. As we expand our reach across various communities, we are excited to welcome new members to our team.

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Member Advocate plays a crucial role in fostering a positive atmosphere within the center. Reporting directly to the Center Director, this position collaborates with the leadership team to enhance membership engagement, program initiatives, and marketing efforts. The primary objective is to ensure a friendly and inviting environment for all members and visitors, facilitating a seamless check-in process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Member Engagement (40%):
    • Address inquiries from members.
    • Welcome members and visitors warmly, representing Digital NEST with professionalism.
    • Encourage participation in activities and events through verbal and digital communication.
    • Assist in managing social media interactions.
    • Conduct informative tours for prospective members as needed.
    • Ensure completion of membership processes accurately.
    • Engage in personal development to enhance member engagement skills.
  • Operational Support (35%):
    • Assist the Center Manager with room setup for events.
    • Follow opening and closing procedures for the facility.
    • Support program staff in preparing spaces for youth engagement.
    • Manage scheduling for room reservations and programming.
    • Maintain a clean and welcoming environment at all times.
    • Monitor facility usage by members.
    • Report any issues to the appropriate personnel promptly.
    • Help create purchase orders for necessary supplies.
    • Collaborate with the Center Manager to liaise with vendors and service providers.
  • Reception Duties (25%):
    • Handle incoming calls and perform clerical tasks.
    • Utilize task management tools for tracking responsibilities.
    • Participate in required meetings.
    • Ensure program materials are current and accessible to members.
    • Oversee member check-in and check-out processes.
    • Contribute to monthly attendance reports through accurate data entry.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong customer service abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Applications, and CRM systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective time management and attention to detail.
  • Experience working with young adults.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Commitment to the mission of Digital NEST and alignment with its core values.
  • Awareness and sensitivity to cultural and social issues.
  • Ability to support diverse communities, including LGBTQIA individuals.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.
  • Physical capability to perform administrative tasks and lift up to 35 pounds.
