Role Overview
This position is responsible for managing the creation and maintenance of admissions, registration, and student records for both prospective and current students at Palm Beach State College. The role involves ensuring compliance with state residency regulations and processing various academic documents and enrollment data. The successful candidate will be expected to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitates student admissions, registration, and pre-registration activities, including document verification and preparation for the registration process.
  • Reviews and processes documents for accuracy and completeness, ensuring proper logging into the system.
  • Handles inquiries and requests from students and parents regarding programs, transfers, and other related matters.
  • Provides backup support by acquiring knowledge of other departmental roles as needed.
  • Conducts workshops for parents to communicate program requirements and expectations.
  • Coordinates the preparation and issuance of transcripts, adhering to institutional policies.
  • Assists students and staff with office equipment and software, providing training as necessary.
  • Performs additional job-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED with relevant additional training.
  • Minimum of one year of related experience.
Knowledge of:
  • Microsoft Office Suite or similar software applications.
  • Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) compliance within 30 days of employment.
Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and effective time management abilities.
Abilities:
  • Ability to interact positively with diverse populations and varying educational backgrounds.
  • Capacity to organize and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for regular interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in researching information for problem-solving purposes.
Work Environment:
  • Regular physical attendance is required.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
