Physician Assistant

As a Physician Substitute at KEDPlasma USA, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors. Your primary responsibility will be to evaluate donor suitability, conduct physical examinations, and administer immunizations in accordance with DCOPs, FDA, OSHA, CLIA, and cGMP guidelines. You will also be responsible for explaining informed consents, answering donor questions, and ensuring accurate documentation on donor charts.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate donor suitability by assessing their medical history, physical condition, and laboratory results.
Conduct physical examinations to confirm donor suitability and identify any potential health risks.
Administer immunizations and monitor responses in accordance with DCOPs and manufacturers' instructions.
Explain informed consents to donors, including the risks and benefits of plasmapheresis and immunization.
Answer donor questions and provide clear information about the donation process.
Ensure accurate documentation on donor charts, including medical history, physical examination results, and immunization records.
Requirements:
Graduate of a recognized healthcare-related educational program, such as nursing or physician assistant.
Current licensure in the state where the center operates.
Excellent patient assessment skills and ability to manage emergency situations.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and train staff as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift, tug, and pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to operate computer software, including DMS and Microsoft Office.
Occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
Physical ability to perform CPR and respond to emergency situations.
Working Conditions:
Work in a plasma donation center environment, with exposure to blood and other bodily fluids.
May be required to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
