Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Engineer to oversee and conduct a wide range of tests on our power equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and conduct testing on power equipment, including switchgear, circuit breakers, and transformers.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics to identify potential issues and ensure all components are functioning correctly.
  • Adhere to ISO 17025 standards to maintain the integrity and accuracy of all testing procedures.
  • Develop and implement automated testing procedures using Python and LabVIEW to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with other departments to facilitate the smooth running of testing procedures and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures to ensure all products meet our stringent standards.
  • Document all testing processes and results, providing detailed reports for management and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience in power distribution and high voltage testing.
  • Extensive knowledge of power equipment, including switchgear, circuit breakers, and transformers.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
  • Experience with ISO 17025 or similar quality management systems.
  • Proficiency in Python and LabVIEW for automated testing.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor junior staff.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field would be advantageous.
