Job Title: TeacherJob Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Teacher to join our team at the Community Action Program for Central Arkansas. As a Teacher, you will be responsible for implementing the educational program for 3-5 year old children, promoting their intellectual and physical development, and creating a safe and healthy learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and Implement Learning Experiences: Develop and implement learning experiences that align with the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework, advancing the intellectual and physical development of children in their care.
  2. Maintain a Safe and Healthy Environment: Establish and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment, ensuring the well-being and safety of children at all times.
  3. Build Positive Relationships: Create a warm and welcoming environment, fostering positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
  4. Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with children, families, and staff, ensuring clear and timely communication.
  5. Monitor and Document Progress: Monitor and document children's growth and development, using data collection tools to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions.
Requirements:
  • Education: Minimum of Associate degree in Early Childhood Education required.
  • Experience: One year of experience teaching children ages 3-5 years.
  • Skills: Computer proficiency, ability to lift children, sit and stand for long periods, and participate in activities requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and jumping.
