Job Title: Registered Nurse - ER

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse - ER to join our team at Acuity International. As a Registered Nurse - ER, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency room setting.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse - ER will work under the direction of a Physician, Surgeon, or Anesthetist to provide medical services to patients in emergency situations. You will be responsible for assessing patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides medical services to patients in emergency situations, including assessing patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
  • Treats patients with trauma or injury, stabilizing them as needed.
  • Utilizes various medical devices, such as catheters and feeding tubes, to provide patient care.
  • Recognizes and treats illnesses and injuries according to established operating instructions.
  • Records and maintains patient information in accordance with standard protocols and the Privacy Act.
  • Identifies and records signs and symptoms of physical and mental conditions.
  • Makes independent judgments and prioritizes workload.
  • Demonstrates proven success in stressful environments.
  • Pursues professional development activities and continuing education to ensure currency with present practices and trends in healthcare.
  • Monitors reconciliation of financial transactions and ensures contract charges are applied uniformly.
  • Protects patients' privacy through confidentiality, infection control procedures, and proper storage and maintenance procedures for all equipment and supplies.
Requirements:
  • Requires an associate degree from an accredited nursing school. A bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
  • Hold and maintain an active and unrestricted Nursing License and the ability to be favorably credentialed.
  • 1-year minimum recent experience as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse.
  • 3 years minimum experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certification are required.
  • Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (CBIC/CIC) preferred.
  • Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized, and have excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computers and common office equipment, as well as with MS Office products required.
  • Must be able to perform duties in a stressful and high-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt to sudden changes and flexibility in work requirements to include potential shift changes based on operational needs and/or command priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to research and resolve inquiries and respond promptly.
  • Ability to work well with senior management and across functions to achieve business objectives.
  • Self-starter who is action-oriented and possesses a strong sense of urgency.
  • All Healthcare Providers and medical support staff must have recent clinical experience in patient care for at least 6 months out of the past year.
Requirements:
  • Must have a valid, current U.S. Driver's License
  • Must have a current U.S. Passport.
  • Must sign an International Assignment Agreement (IAA) and is bound to the terms and conditions of the IAA.
  • Must be proficient in the ability to speak, write, and communicate in English.
  • Shall demonstrate proficiency in the use of basic word processing programs and the Acuity Medical Management System software.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must meet pre-deployment physical requirements.
  • Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods.
  • The location of services may at times be in remote, austere or challenging environments.
  • May require bending, stooping and lifting as required for patient care and transport.
