Job Responsibilities:
  • Assess urgent or emergent health needs of patients, analyze data, and formulate a plan of care.
  • Implement treatment plans and options for various life-threatening medical conditions.
  • Utilize and understand medical devices, such as catheters and feeding tubes.
  • Operate life support systems.
  • Recognize and treat illnesses and injuries according to established operating instructions.
  • Record and maintain patient information in accordance with standard protocols.
  • Identify and record signs and symptoms of physical and mental conditions.
  • Exercise initiative, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills daily.
  • Prioritize workload and make independent judgments.
  • Demonstrate success in stressful environments.
  • Pursue professional development activities and continuing education.
  • Monitor financial transactions and ensure contract charges are applied uniformly.
  • Protect patients' privacy through confidentiality and infection control procedures.
Qualifications:
  • 3 years' minimum experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Associate degree from an accredited Nursing School required, Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • Hold and maintain an active and unrestricted Nursing License.
  • Required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • Valid US passport.
  • Recent clinical experience in patient care for at least 6 months out of the past year.
  • Ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and have excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computer and common office equipment, as well as with MS Office products.
  • Ability to perform duties in a stressful and high-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be confirmed by a medical examination to be 'medically and dentally fit' in accordance with Acuity Medical Readiness Guidelines and Policies.
  • No conditions that would prevent the wear of personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to lift or carry up to 70 lbs. of referenced gear while running to a bunker or protected area in the face of perceived or imminent danger.
