Job Summary

The Patient Care Technician III (PCT III) at Memorial Hermann Health System plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care. Under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, this individual will provide direct patient care, obtain pre and post-treatment vitals, and maintain accurate documentation of patient treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain pre and post-treatment vitals, weight, and vascular access condition
• Report any unusual changes or findings to the nurse
• Responsible for timely and accurate documentation of information related to patient treatment
• Assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean working environment
• Participate in process improvement/quality improvement initiatives for respective department in collaboration with department leaders

Requirements

• Prior patient care experience required
• Certified in Basic Life Support OR Heartsaver CPR with AED within 90 days of employment
• One or more of the following: Certified as a Nursing Assistant by the Texas Department of Health, Graduate of a foreign nursing program with nursing credentials/licensure in country of origin, Completion of a Medical Assistant training program (Certification or Registration preferred), or Certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in the Emergency Department only
