About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Anesthesia Technician II to join our team at Texas Children's Hospital. As a key member of our anesthesia team, you will provide specialized support to anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist anesthesiologists with preparation and placement of neurophysiologic monitors
  • Assist with induction by connecting patients to monitors
  • Assist with intubation and maintenance of patient airways
  • Assist with insertion of IVs and other invasive lines
  • Provide support to the patient care team throughout the case
  • Perform salvaged blood processing per protocol, as required
  • Assist with volume infusions as directed during intraoperative procedures
  • Prepare and set up equipment, including anesthesia machines and monitors
  • Perform troubleshooting to correct equipment problems
  • Assist with maintaining and evaluating anesthesia-related equipment
Requirements
  • H.S. Diploma or GED
  • BLS - Cert-Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association
  • CER-A-T (American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians) or 5 years' experience as an Anesthesia Technician
  • Technical Diploma - Completion of an anesthesia technician training program approved by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians
  • 3 years' experience as an Anesthesia Technologist
  • Cardiovascular experience preferred
