Job Summary

BRMi is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex data architectures and systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in semantic web technologies, experience with graph databases, and a deep understanding of Python Flask, Django, and Django REST Framework.

You will work closely with our technical leads to support the design and development of a knowledge graph and supporting tools in an open-source application environment.

Additionally, you will be responsible for building and maintaining data models, engineering data architectures, and developing data integrations such as extract, transform, and load (ETL) workflows.

As a senior data engineer, you will also contribute to the vision and articulate the value of a new data architecture that embraces semantic principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex data architectures and systems
  • Collaborate with technical leads to support the design and development of a knowledge graph and supporting tools
  • Build and maintain data models, engineer data architectures, and develop data integrations
  • Contribute to the vision and articulate the value of a new data architecture that embraces semantic principles
  • Work closely with other architecture and engineering disciplines to establish data best practices

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS suitability clearance
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related field/equivalent experience
  • 7 years' experience in design, analysis, and implementation of information systems architecture
  • Experience working with at least one major graph database in a production environment
  • Knowledge of semantic data and ontology design and development tools and concepts
  • Familiarity with ontology development tools and machine reasoning concepts
  • Experience and knowledge working with graph databases and concepts like data mesh and AllegroGraph
