Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Capital One is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data engineering solutions that drive business value and improve customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop data engineering solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain large-scale data processing systems, including data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes.
  • Design and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Work with data scientists and analysts to develop and deploy machine learning models and predictive analytics.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our data engineering practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in programming languages such as Java, Scala, and Python.
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with cloud-based data warehousing services such as Redshift and Snowflake.
  • Experience with distributed computing tools such as MapReduce and Hadoop.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
