Position Overview:

The role involves comprehensive analytic production concerning Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD). The analyst will engage in collection activities that support both strategic and tactical intelligence objectives, particularly in response to military contingency operations. The analysis and collection efforts will encompass a variety of WMD threats, including missiles, delivery systems, advanced weaponry, and associated military operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough research and develop detailed analyses on complex national, regional, and global issues for senior policymakers and key stakeholders within the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Lead the production of a diverse array of finished intelligence products that bolster U.S. counter-proliferation initiatives, providing analytic evaluations on nuclear, chemical, and biological warfare, arms control, and exploitation program planning.
  • Prepare and deliver both written and oral briefings to senior internal and external clients on critical intelligence matters, simplifying complex concepts for non-expert audiences and tailoring outputs to meet client requirements.
  • Analyze supply chain vulnerabilities related to controlled or dual-use goods, identifying procurement needs for relevant programs.
  • Utilize a comprehensive set of methodological tools to gain a deep understanding of significant analytic issues, integrating insights into sophisticated intelligence products.
  • Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues, subject matter experts, and analysts across the Defense Intelligence Enterprise and the Intelligence Community, engaging with academia, national laboratories, law enforcement, and the IC to address missile proliferation and procurement challenges.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of WMD, Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD), Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNE), or related fields.
  • Proven ability to interpret complex information that may be incomplete or highly intricate.
  • Capability to structure analysis based on reporting trends and diverse analytic perspectives.
  • Experience working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other IC members to enhance information sharing and resolve analytic disputes.
  • Proficiency in developing concise and insightful intelligence products.
  • Experience leading teams in researching complex problems.
  • Expertise in selecting and applying analytic methodologies, using argument evaluation to challenge differing viewpoints.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality analysis and briefings on U.S. foreign policy and national security objectives related to WMD and CBRNE.
  • Extensive familiarity with DoD, DIE, and IC policies and procedures, alongside a strong grasp of analytic tradecraft.
  • Proficient in producing finished intelligence related to WMD and CBRNE topics.
  • Skilled in utilizing various methodological tools for research and data presentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe, and MS Teams.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field related to WMD, CBRNE, or all-source intelligence analysis from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of eight years of relevant professional experience in WMD or CBRNE analysis, with recent experience preferred.

Clearance Requirements: This position necessitates an active TS/SCI clearance, along with a counterintelligence polygraph. U.S. citizenship is required.

Work Environment: The role is performed on-site, ensuring direct engagement with the team and clients.
