Position Overview:
The role involves comprehensive analytic production on Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD). The analyst will engage in collection efforts that align with strategic and tactical intelligence objectives, particularly in response to military contingency scenarios. This includes analysis and support concerning WMD threats, missile systems, advanced weaponry, and associated military operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research and develop detailed analyses on complex national, regional, and global issues for senior decision-makers within the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community (IC).
- Lead the creation of a diverse array of finished intelligence products that bolster U.S. counter-proliferation initiatives, offering insights on nuclear, chemical, and biological warfare, arms control, and program execution.
- Prepare and deliver both written and oral presentations to senior stakeholders on critical intelligence matters, ensuring clarity in conveying complex information to non-expert audiences.
- Analyze supply chain vulnerabilities related to controlled or dual-use goods, identifying procurement needs for relevant programs.
- Utilize a variety of methodological tools to gain a deep understanding of intricate analytic issues, integrating findings into sophisticated intelligence outputs.
- Foster collaborative relationships with colleagues, subject matter experts, and analysts across the Defense Intelligence Enterprise and the Intelligence Community, engaging with academia and law enforcement to address missile proliferation challenges.
Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of WMD, Counter-WMD (CWMD), Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNE) topics.
- Proven ability to derive insights from complex and often incomplete information.
- Experience in structuring analysis based on reporting trends and diverse analytic perspectives.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Experience collaborating with other IC members to enhance information sharing and resolve analytic disputes.
- Expertise in producing concise and insightful intelligence products.
- Proven leadership in researching complex problems.
- Guidance in selecting and applying analytic methodologies, utilizing validated approaches to challenge differing viewpoints.
- Extensive experience in developing high-quality analyses and briefings on U.S. foreign policy and national security objectives related to WMD and CBRNE.
- Strong understanding of DoD, DIE, and IC policies and procedures, with demonstrated knowledge of analytic tradecraft.
- Experience producing finished intelligence on WMD and related topics, with a broad understanding of the role of intelligence analysis within the IC.
- Proficiency in a variety of analytic tools and methodologies for data research and presentation.
- Skilled in producing high-quality analytic products using structured methods.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and MS Teams.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field related to WMD, CBRNE, or all-source intelligence analysis from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of eight years of relevant professional experience in WMD or CBRNE analysis, with recent experience within the last two years.
Clearance Requirements: This position necessitates an active TS/SCI clearance and a counterintelligence polygraph. U.S. citizenship is required.
Work Environment: The role is performed on-site.
