Position Overview:

The role involves comprehensive all-source analytical production focused on Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD). The analyst will engage in collection activities that support both strategic and tactical intelligence priorities, particularly in response to military contingency operations. This includes analysis and collection support concerning WMD threats, missile systems, advanced weaponry, and associated military operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth analyses of complex national, regional, and global issues, providing insights for senior policymakers and critical components of the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Lead the production of diverse finished intelligence products that bolster U.S. counter-proliferation initiatives, offering assessments on nuclear, chemical, and biological warfare, arms control, and program development.
  • Prepare and deliver both written and oral briefings to senior internal and external stakeholders on significant intelligence matters, ensuring complex concepts are communicated effectively to non-expert audiences.
  • Analyze supply chain vulnerabilities related to controlled or dual-use goods, identifying procurement needs for relevant programs.
  • Utilize a comprehensive range of methodological tools to develop sophisticated intelligence products that address complex analytic issues.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with colleagues, subject matter experts, and analysts across the Defense Intelligence Enterprise and the Intelligence Community, engaging with various stakeholders to tackle missile proliferation and procurement challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive expertise in WMD, Counter-WMD (CWMD), Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNE) topics.
  • Proven ability to synthesize information from complex and often incomplete data sources.
  • Strong analytical skills, capable of structuring analysis based on reporting trends and diverse perspectives.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Experience collaborating with other Intelligence Community members to enhance information sharing and resolve analytic disputes.
  • Capability to produce concise and insightful intelligence products.
  • Leadership experience in researching complex problems.
  • Guidance in selecting and applying appropriate analytic methodologies.
  • Proficient in producing high-quality analysis and briefings related to U.S. foreign policy and national security, specifically in WMD and CBRNE areas.
  • In-depth knowledge of Department of Defense, Defense Intelligence Enterprise, and Intelligence Community policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize various methodological tools for data analysis and presentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and MS Teams.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field related to WMD, CBRNE, or all-source intelligence analysis from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant professional experience in WMD or CBRNE analysis, with recent experience preferred.

Clearance Requirements: This position necessitates an active TS/SCI clearance, along with a counterintelligence polygraph. U.S. citizenship is required.

Work Environment: This role is performed on-site.
