Position Overview: A Licensed Practical Nurse (L.P.N.) is accountable for delivering high-quality health care services. This role encompasses both direct and indirect nursing care, health promotion, education, counseling, collaborative care planning, and rehabilitation efforts. Exceptional nursing practice involves advanced clinical skills and the ability to perform comprehensive assessments that integrate complex clinical information, translating these assessments into effective care plans for patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the basic health status of individuals, documenting and analyzing relevant health information.
  • Engage in the interpretation of recorded data to make informed decisions regarding the necessary nursing care for specific situations.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of nursing interventions, ensuring that care plans reflect the latest advancements and knowledge in the nursing field. Integrate prescribed medical treatments into the nursing care strategy.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and completion of an accredited vocational/technical nursing program. Must hold a valid nursing license in Massachusetts as an R.N. or L.P.N. BCLS certification is required as per departmental guidelines. Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience, ideally in community health or outpatient care settings.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
