Job Title: Power Electronics Design Engineer

Johnson Controls International is seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Design Engineer to join our team of engineering and design professionals. In this role, you will be responsible for creating 3D CAD models and design documentation of piece parts and complex assemblies of electrical components and enclosures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop 3D CAD models and design documentation of electrical components and enclosures.
  • Perform complex component layout analysis to identify failure points and features for optimization.
  • Document the design process and assist other engineers and designers in the business unit locally and globally.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and manufacturing personnel to complete assignments.
  • Explore design software functionality to find new solutions to problems.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent and 7 years minimum experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology is preferred.
  • Experience using Windchill/Creo 6.0 or higher.
  • Working knowledge of MSOffice Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Knowledge of material properties and machining processes is required.
  • Ability to travel globally up to 10% per year.
