Job Title: Help Desk Specialist

Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Help Desk Specialist to join our team. As a Help Desk Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment
  • Configure and install new hardware and software
  • Document and track all technical issues and resolutions
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex technical issues
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in a help desk or technical support role
  • Strong technical skills, including knowledge of hardware, software, and networking
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
