Job Summary

We are seeking a mid to senior-level Forensic Civil Structural Engineer to enhance our team of professionals supporting clients throughout the US.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field observations, testing, and data collection.
  • Prepare reports detailing observations, testing results, research conducted, and opinions or recommendations.
  • Work with building departments to determine repair directives.
  • Conduct research and develop technical topics for publication.
  • Meet with and present to peers and clients.
  • Engage in client-relations marketing.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited school.
  • Familiarity with modern building codes and industry standards.
  • 2-7 years of experience as a forensic engineer.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel and conduct site inspections.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PE or SE license.
  • Testimony experience as a designated expert witness.
  • Experience in engineering design or construction.
  • Experience conducting damage assessments and forensic investigations.
Physical and Mental Job Qualifications
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to travel to project sites and conduct field investigations.
  • Ability to work at heights.
  • Ability to work in hot and cold environments, both indoors and outdoors.

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $90k - $140k.
