Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to join our team in Columbus. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural and architectural engineering design, failure analysis, and a combination of field and office work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate the origin and cause of failures, damages, or defects in the civil/structural fields within residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
  • Analyze the failure of building systems, determine the cause of failures, evaluate the quality of construction or reviews design or maintenance procedures.
  • Participate in catastrophe responses such as hurricanes, tornados, floods, wildland fires, and earthquakes.
  • Perform field investigations, and lead multi-party examinations and documentation of damaged property.
  • Research failure modes and code requirements as needed, and prepare recommendations for repair and/or remediation as appropriate.
  • Prepare accurate, clear, thorough, and concise reports and letters outlining the cause and origin of the damages to clients.
  • Provide expert testimony in a court of law if required.
  • Manage/works with multi-disciplinary teams on large and complex assignments.
  • Establish trusted working relationship with clients and interacts socially at mixed engagements with clients.
