Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil maintenance of traffic, roadway design and construction, and geotechnical experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to deliver professional presentations and develop strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate MOT issues, including pedestrian ingress/egress ways and ADA accessibility, vehicular traffic ingress/egress, turn lane design, maintenance of traffic plans, and asphalt pavement mix designs.
  • Review applicability of city and county code requirements for roadways, pathways, and waterways.
  • Investigate soil-related issues, landslides, erosion control, retaining walls, earthwork grading, and stormwater runoff.
  • Conduct unbiased investigations for various types of clients.
  • Prepare oral and written reports in layman's terms that document causes of failure, extent of loss, and recommended remediation.
  • Deliver professional presentations, develop client relationships, and promote self to client groups.
  • Ability to support conclusions by appropriate expert testimony in legal proceedings.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of post-academic civil maintenance of traffic experience.
  • Roadway design and construction experience; maintenance of traffic experience.
  • Academic and post-academic geotechnical experience a plus.
  • P. E. registration required through testing.
  • Must possess strong writing skills.
  • Public speaking experience a plus.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
