We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Respiratory Care Intern to join our team at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. As a Respiratory Care Intern, you will have the opportunity to work under the direct supervision of our experienced Respiratory Therapist Team Manager and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Respiratory Therapists with patient care activities, including ventilator management and oxygen therapy
- Conduct routine checks on respiratory equipment and report any issues to the Respiratory Care Manager
- Participate in educational programs and training sessions to enhance your knowledge and skills in respiratory care
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and communication
- Must have completed one semester of a state-approved Respiratory Therapy program
- Ability to work every other weekend, with a minimum of 8 hours per week
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift and move patients as needed
