Job Summary:

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Manager to join our team. As a key member of our respiratory department, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating daily operations, including patient care and clinic/unit business processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the respiratory department
  • Provide expertise as a consultant, educator, clinician, and role model promoting the development of professional standards and improvement of quality patient care
  • Participate as a team member, supporting clinical and administrative peers in the performance of their duties
  • Communicate accurately, clearly, and concisely, both verbally and in writing
  • Participate in regular monthly staff meetings to promote communication and conduct problem solving/planning

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree
  • Three (3) years of experience in the field of Respiratory Care
  • Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Adult Critical Care Specialty in Respiratory Care
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
