Job Summary


The Administrative Coordinator, Regional Geriatric Program plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operations of assigned Outpatient Clinics at Unity Health Toronto. This position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can provide seamless, prompt, friendly customer-focused service to outpatients, inpatients, clients, and the general public.



Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate administrative tasks including appointment scheduling, data entry, and health information management in an integral software system.
  • Provide administrative/clerical support to clinical staff and management, ensuring effective communication with internal and external healthcare professionals.
  • Represent Providence Healthcare in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner to various constituencies.


Qualifications/Skills Required

  • A Community College certificate or diploma in an Administrative or Secretarial field, or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Minimum of 5 years of active working experience in an administrative or secretarial field in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Access, Word, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of Meditech software modules is an asset.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, legible handwriting, and ability to efficiently schedule appointments for patients and clinicians.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, patience, and a genuine interest in stakeholder well-being.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment when handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Self-directed, with the ability to work independently and interdependently under pressure.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in completing work tasks.
  • Excellent attendance record and good performance history.
