Job Summary

Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct patient care and supports the healthcare team in maintaining a clean, safe, and attractive environment for patients. This role involves assisting with various duties, including direct patient care, nutrition, observation, documentation, and transportation of patients and supplies.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with direct patient care, including vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and personal care.
  • Support the healthcare team in maintaining a clean and safe environment, including cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Assist with documentation, including charting patient information and maintaining accurate records.
  • Transport patients and supplies as needed.
  • Perform various clerical duties, including answering phones and routing calls to the appropriate parties.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • Current CNA certification required.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and hospital policies and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Work Environment

This role is based in a hospital setting and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The CNA will work under the supervision of a licensed nurse and will be expected to maintain confidentiality and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
