Job Title: Inspection & Repair Operator

Volt is seeking a skilled Inspection & Repair Operator to join our team in Austin, Texas.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to perform inspections and repairs on various types of electronics and subassemblies. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and be able to read and interpret technical documents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up inspection stations with the correct process documents, screens, and workflow instructions.
  • Perform in-process and online inspections to identify defects and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Perform touch-up and repairs as needed.
  • Read and interpret manufacturing process instructions and visual aids.
  • Scan products and enter data into the shop floor control system.
  • Adjust, trim, or process materials to achieve specified electrical requirements or dimensional characteristics.
  • Communicate process problems with peers, supervisors, and manufacturing support.
  • Document workload and calculate the number of products inspected and rejected.
Requirements:
  • 12 months of manufacturing or related experience preferred.
  • IPC Certification or successful completion of IPC Certification Training courses and materials.
  • Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to use hand tools.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
Work Environment:

The employee will be regularly exposed to work that requires repetitive motion and occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Pay Rate:

$20.50/hr to start with $1.85 shift premium dependent on shift. Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
