Position Overview:

The Event Ticketing Specialist is accountable for managing ticket sales for various shows and events, ensuring a seamless experience for patrons.

This position offers an hourly compensation of $10.00.

Part-Time Benefits: 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Open and close the ticketing window as necessary.
  • Dispense tickets accurately as requested by customers, process payments, and provide change correctly.
  • Maintain a precise count of ticket sales, whether through physical tickets or digital records.
  • Complete daily sales reports and maintain an accurate balance sheet of cash and tickets sold; submit cash for auditing as required.
  • Handle seat reservations via phone or mail, manage the Will-Call window, and perform other related tasks as directed by the Supervisor.
  • Exhibit exceptional customer service skills, responding promptly to inquiries and assisting patrons independently.
  • Provide information regarding ticket prices, seating arrangements, and upcoming events efficiently and courteously.
  • File various records and reports, and carry out related clerical duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • 1 to 3 months of relevant experience or training.
  • Alternatively, a combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience in Box Office or guest services is preferred.
  • Ability to accurately handle cash transactions and make change.
  • Strong listening skills and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Proficient in data entry for recording sales transactions.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to listen, clarify, and respond to inquiries.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a strong sense of public relations.
