Job Overview

The Financial Reporting Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting the Controller with various financial reporting responsibilities. This position involves contributing to the development and maintenance of accounting standards, practices, and procedures to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Controller in training and mentoring team members.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of financial reports, ensuring accuracy before distribution.
  • Examine financial statements, journal entries, balance sheet accounts, and income statement details for accuracy.
  • Contribute to the preparation and analysis of the annual budget.
  • Oversee bank reconciliations to ensure secure processes are adhered to.
  • Assist in the annual financial statement audit preparation.
  • Perform additional accounting tasks as required.
  • Facilitate communication with other departments and store personnel, providing assistance as needed.
