Position Overview

As the Sales Operations Manager, you will play a vital role within the Store Management team by implementing strategic initiatives to drive a profitable operation. Your success will be measured by your ability to innovate selling strategies and achieve daily and weekly business goals by effectively assigning and overseeing tasks, objectives, and priorities for the sales associate team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Store Management in evaluating business trends and executing store-specific initiatives.
  • Communicate sales and profitability metrics and resources to the store team.
  • Deliver a consistent customer experience that aligns with Ralph Lauren brand standards by addressing customer complaints and resolving service issues.
  • Support the store's client development strategy through community engagement initiatives.
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection process as needed, aiding Store Management in building a customer-centric team that embodies the store's vision.
  • Engage in talent development discussions by providing constructive feedback and coaching to the store team.
  • Contribute to team training efforts.
  • Provide ongoing insights to Store Management regarding team achievements and areas for improvement, as well as product category needs.
  • Maintain high productivity standards by adhering to processes and ensuring effective store operations, including inventory management.
  • Promote the use of innovative technology to support new selling techniques and enhance shopping experiences.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that the sales floor and overall store standards consistently exceed expectations.
  • Foster an inclusive environment that reflects the core values and cultural focus areas of Ralph Lauren.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A college degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Experience in Retail Management or a similar field within a dynamic, high-volume environment is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills with customers and store personnel.
  • Ability to navigate the sales floor, stock areas, cash register, and office; capable of lifting up to 30 lbs. and climbing as needed.
  • Proficient in operating the register and able to stand and move for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs, including evenings, weekends, and potential overnight shifts.
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining positive relationships with customers, management, and colleagues.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Excellent planning, prioritization, and time management skills.
