Nurse Resident Position

UW Health is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Ambulatory Nurse Resident to join our prestigious 12-month program. This program is designed to help new graduate nurses transition confidently into practice following graduation from an accredited nursing program.
Program OverviewThe Ambulatory Nurse Residency Program at UW Health is part of a national initiative developed by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing and Vizient. This program is accredited through the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and is one of 40 Nurse Residency Programs in the United States.
Responsibilities- Participate in twice-monthly nurse resident classes with your cohort, meeting with clinical experts and problem-solving clinical challenges.
- Work within an interdisciplinary team during all stages of patient care, including wellness, prevention, acute and chronic illness, and end-of-life care.
- Perform telephone triage, grow telehealth opportunities, administer medications, conduct treatments, and perform testing.
- Provide patient and family education, and ensure a plan of care for high volumes of patients.
To be eligible for this position, you must have a minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN or BAN), or Master Degree in Nursing (MSN) completed within the previous 12 months. A Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin and current CPR/BLS Certification are also required.
