At Stephenson Equipment, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Customer Service and Collections Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for assisting the accounts receivable team in collecting past due invoices and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities- Process billings and receivables in a timely and accurate manner.
- Send out past due invoices and correspondence to customers.
- Make collection calls and follow up on previously made calls to ensure timely payment.
- Address and correct any discrepancies in accounts or billings.
- Assist the Credit Manager in negotiating payment plans with customers.
- Escalate larger balances to the Credit Manager's attention.
- Assist in analyzing data and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in high-volume collections preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Intermediate math skills and ability to calculate figures and amounts.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
This role is based in an office environment with moderate noise levels. The majority of the time will be spent sitting and using a computer. Minimal lifting is required, up to 25lbs.
