About the Role

As a Nutrition Assistant Lead at CommonSpirit Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring the operational efficiency and regulatory compliance of our nutrition services team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of Nutrition Assistants and provide nutrition support to patients, families, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exhibit in-depth knowledge of food preparation and production processes.
  • Train new and existing employees on departmental policies and procedures.
  • Oversee food preparation and service to ensure adherence to menu and dietary requirements.
  • Assist team members in applying organizational procedures and protocols to minimize errors related to dietary guidelines.
  • Assess training progress and provide constructive feedback for improved performance.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Four (4) years of food service experience, including two (2) years of hospital nutrition experience.
  • A Food Handlers Permit is required.
