Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Tester

Job Summary

This key role is responsible for the onsite testing and maintenance of EV charging stations, ensuring site safety, electrical system maintenance/repair, and other duties as required to properly maintain and operate the site within contractual requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Perform OEM testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades/revisions to a broad range of equipment, including Level 2 Electric Vehicle (EV) chargers and DC Fast Chargers.
  • Test interoperability of EV Chargers with vehicles and backend, generate test reports, and communicate effectively with representative parties with issues and necessary corrective actions.
  • Perform acceptance testing for firmware and software releases, generate test reports, and train on new features and product releases.
  • Conduct testing on equipment, including insulation testing, thermal imagery, torque tests, and performance evaluations.
Requirements
  • Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills, with technical knowledge of Electric Vehicle (EV) chargers preferred.
  • Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to generate, track, and complete site work requirements.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems independently with a high level of results orientation.
