The successful candidate will work closely with our team to provide personalized support and training to our clients, helping them gain independence in work tasks and adapt to work environments.

Key responsibilities:

  • Facilitate training and support of Project SEARCH interns in internship department rotations.
  • Provide individual training and support to interns to help them develop skills, build natural supports, and identify reasonable adjustments.
  • Communicate effectively with program partners, staff, family members, and other stakeholders.
  • Carry out steps of employment plans with interns and attend individual employment planning meetings.
  • Practice positive feedback techniques and train interns on required standards in personal hygiene, communication, interviewing, and self-management.
  • Explore job options that match interns' interests and skills and communicate with team members about job opportunities.

Requirements:

  • High school degree or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license and automotive insurance.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • 2 years' experience working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Ability to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop.
  • Regular standing and walking required.
