Job Overview

HM Cragg, a leading provider of backup power solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager - LSG to join their team. As a key member of the organization, this individual will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects from post-order commercial, administrative, and technical support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Oversee the management of all project data, customer account setup, and approved terms and conditions of sales.
  • Commercial and Legal Requirements: Ensure all commercial and legal requirements for an acceptable order are met, soliciting support from Territory Sales Manager (TSM) when required.
  • Order Management: Enter sales orders in HM Cragg and vendor portals in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Project Scheduling: Prepare project schedules, including identification of major milestones, for overseeing, controlling, communicating, and managing all activities required to complete projects through install and start-up.
  • Documentation and Submittals: Create submittal packages and documentation, including OEM standard and project-specific approval drawings, and one-line drawings, for engineering approval, contractor installation, and owners/users guide.
  • Communication and Coordination: Provide and receive feedback on manufacturing and sourcing partners to supply products and materials to address specific project attributes.
  • Project Tracking and Costing: Use available sales tools to track project pricing and costing for products, materials, labor, OEM services, transportation, and logistics, and other project-specific costing as required.
  • Customer Communication: Proactively communicate with customers throughout the project cycle, relaying all pertinent details regarding factory production schedule, testing, delivery, start-up, and commissioning.
  • Technical Support: Consult with various departments within HMC as appropriate to resolve technical issues that arise during the order to shipment cycle and drive to resolution.
  • Financial Management: Perform timely invoicing through project milestones as required by HM Cragg's selling terms and conditions.
  • Collections and Shipping: Follow up on open shipments reporting from Eaton, complete commissions claims for any outstanding, unpaid commissions, and make collection efforts on past due unpaid invoices.
  • Reporting and Administration: Complete internal reporting, submit expenses at least weekly, and perform other duties and assignments as necessary.
Requirements
  • Project Management Experience: Proven experience successfully managing multiple, concurrent projects on time and on budget.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of UPS equipment and installation practices, as well as the ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Communication and Organizational Skills: Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and strong organizational skills.
  • Education and Certifications: 4-year college degree preferred or 2-year technical degree plus 2 years of related experience in construction project management, UPS, or critical power infrastructure.
Posting Qualifications
  • Experience and Education: Two years prior project management experience preferred, with knowledge of UPS products and familiarity with complementary and competitive products.
  • Software Skills: Experienced in the use of project management software or demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Microsoft Office Skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook).
