Job Summary

Central Peninsula Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Services Technician to join our team. As an Environmental Services Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform cleaning and disinfecting duties in designated areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, common areas, and equipment.
  • Remove trash, dirty linen, and sharps containers from designated areas and transport them to the appropriate storage areas.
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum warehouse, hallways, stairs, restrooms, and office spaces.
  • Operate cleaning equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Report any maintenance or repair issues to the facilities department.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
Working Conditions

This is a per diem position, and you may be asked to work varying shifts, including 8-hour shifts from 7am to 3:30pm, 8am to 4:30pm, 9am to 5:30pm, or 11am to 7:30pm, depending on need.

Compensation

Starting pay is $16.78-$19.17 per hour, depending on experience. This position is eligible for the Per Diem rate, which includes 12% on top of your base rate of pay. Additional compensation is available for night and weekend shifts. This position is not eligible for benefits, including health insurance and paid time off.
