Clinical Support Role at Cornell Scott-Hill Health Corporation

Cornell Scott-Hill Health Corporation is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in various locations. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide clinical support to providers and assist in delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform screening tests and order routine lab work with medical standing orders
  • Complete specific treatment or nursing procedures as ordered by the provider
  • Assist in providing outreach services to patients who miss their appointments
  • Responsible for placing orders and managing all imaging studies, including Ultrasound, CT scan, MRI, and Gynecology imaging
  • Perform triage functions of patients and route them to the appropriate clinical service
  • Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments as per written order of the provider
  • Responsible for completing telephone triage
  • Obtain EKGs and blood pressure checks to be reviewed by a provider
  • Provide supportive nursing counseling related to common acute medical problems and primary preventative care for patients
  • Contribute to in-service education and help identify areas where needed
  • Attend mandatory monthly Nursing supervisory meetings and occasional weekend trainings as required
Requirements:
  • LPN graduate from an accredited school
  • Registered as an LPN in the State of Connecticut
  • Experience in Internal Medicine, Surgical Specialties, Long Term Care, or Rehabilitation
  • Experience performing EKGs and triaging patients
  • Experience performing phlebotomy
  • CPR Certification
  • Bi-lingual Spanish speaking highly desirable
  • Excellent Patient Management skills
  • Strongly motivated and able to accept supervision
  • Computer skills with the ability to learn Centricity and Yale EPIC
