Job Overview

Dutch Ridge Consulting Group is seeking a skilled Cloud Migration Engineer to join our team. As a Cloud Migration Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and executing the migration of our organization's applications and infrastructure to cloud-based platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop cloud migration strategies and plans to ensure seamless transitions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address migration requirements and dependencies.
  • Design and implement migration plans, including selecting the appropriate cloud platform and defining resource requirements.
  • Coordinate and execute the migration of applications, data, and infrastructure to cloud-based environments.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot migration activities to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Optimize the performance, scalability, and security of cloud infrastructure by implementing best practices and leveraging cloud-native services.
  • Develop and implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans for cloud-based environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and enforce cloud security policies.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams regarding cloud technologies and best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Cloud Migration Engineer or a similar role, with a track record of successfully executing cloud migration projects.
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud migrations.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Familiarity with cloud migration tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Solid understanding of networking, virtualization, and infrastructure concepts.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Terraform) for automation and infrastructure provisioning.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
Location

Remote - with potential on-site travel to the D.C. Metro Area 1-4 times a year.
