AWS Engineer Job Description

iZeal, Inc. is seeking an experienced AWS Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing and a proven track record of designing and implementing scalable and secure AWS solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement AWS infrastructure solutions using Elastic Kubernetes, ElastiCache, KMS, and other AWS services.
  • Develop and maintain AWS CloudFormation templates and Terraform configurations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems and services.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide 24/7 support for AWS-related issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services and features, and apply this knowledge to improve existing solutions and develop new ones.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience with AWS services, including Elastic Kubernetes, ElastiCache, KMS, and other related technologies.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including scalability, security, and high availability.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Desired Skills:
  • Containerization technologies: Docker or Podman.
  • Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery tools: AWS CodePipeline, Azure DevOps.
  • Linux system administration – ability to manage and troubleshoot Linux systems and services, bash scripting.
  • Networking: solid understanding of routing and networking concepts.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Web Servers: Nginx or Apache configurations and reverse proxies.
Education:

Bachelor's degree required; relevant, equivalent work experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
