Position Summary

We are looking for a seasoned and proactive Senior Strategic Sales Executive to enhance our expanding Insurance Sales division. In this role, you will be tasked with promoting subscriptions for Nearmap's enterprise SaaS insurance software platform to top-tier property insurance carriers in the U.S., encompassing both personal and commercial lines. Your focus will be on strategically uncovering new avenues for growth while engaging with untapped insurance accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed sales objectives.
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies while providing regular updates on progress.
  • Create an insurance-centric plan with clear, measurable goals, including target accounts and timelines.
  • Initiate and cultivate new business opportunities through targeted prospecting, guiding them through the sales funnel.
  • Identify critical purchasing timelines and partnerships within current and prospective accounts to streamline the buying process.
  • Construct detailed account plans for major clients, incorporating influence matrices and organizational structures.
  • Align your prospect influences with our key executives, knowing when and how to leverage these connections.
  • Effectively articulate the company's value proposition, technology, processes, and relevant partnerships.
  • Throughout the enterprise sales cycle, map out the client's internal business processes and collaborate with internal resources to customize solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with leads and prospects throughout lengthy enterprise sales cycles.
  • Familiarity with RFP processes.
  • Travel as necessary, up to 30-50% of the time, to meet with prospects.
  • Engage with partners within your strategic accounts to foster mutual success.
  • Collaborate and function as a team player.
  • Participate in team discussions to address business challenges and demonstrate a commitment to supporting colleagues.
  • Ensure a high standard of quality and punctuality in all reporting, forecasting, and administrative tasks.
  • Maintain comprehensive customer data in Salesforce, including customer information, opportunity details, and interaction records.
Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years in a sales position with a proven history of closing enterprise deals.
  • Demonstrated B2B SaaS sales experience within the P&C insurtech or insurance sector.
  • Extensive experience in generating new business, with a successful track record of securing tier 1 deals.
  • Proven experience in strategic solution selling.
  • Strong competency in CRM data management (preferably Salesforce).
  • Exceptional collaboration skills and a strong drive to close deals.
  • Robust insurance knowledge, with a proven ability to engage with C-suite executives.
  • Capability to coach and close at all levels, from subscription renewals to complex high-value sales.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding presentation abilities, including value selling and a structured approach to the market.
  • Driven, positive, and energetic self-starter focused on results.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant business field or equivalent experience.
  • Willingness to travel 30-50% as required.
