About the Position

Memorial Health University Medical Center is committed to delivering high-quality patient-centered care. We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Coordinator for our Progressive Care Unit. This role involves ensuring efficient throughput and high-quality care during the designated shift. In collaboration with the management team, the Clinical Nurse Coordinator directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care, serving as a resource person for staff and modeling a commitment to the organization's vision and mission.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in quality assessment and improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to foster a culture of teamwork and improved outcomes.
  • Support patient-centered care and engage in service recovery when necessary.
  • Operationalize current nursing strategies to improve engagement, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
  • Recommend and implement training, development, and conflict resolution strategies to ensure a competitive organization.
  • Manage staff scheduling and labor in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
  • Support proper inventory control and manage supplies and equipment.

Requirements

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Registered Nurse license and diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing.
