We are seeking a skilled Perioperative Nurse Specialist to join our team at Memorial Health University Medical Center. With a strong focus on delivering exceptional patient care, we are committed to providing the highest level of service in a supportive and collaborative environment.

About the Role:

  • As a Perioperative Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that patients receive the best possible care throughout their surgical journey.
  • You will work closely with our experienced surgical teams to provide safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients undergoing elective and emergency procedures.
  • You will be an integral part of our perioperative nursing team, working together to ensure seamless communication and coordination between departments.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Providing direct patient care, assessing patients' physical and emotional needs, and developing personalized care plans to meet those needs.
  • Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care throughout the surgical process.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes.
  • Participating in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and best practices in perioperative nursing.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a perioperative setting.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia or compact multi-state licensure.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association or equivalent.
