Patient Care Liaison/Clinical Support Coordinator

The Patient Care Liaison/Clinical Support Coordinator role is a versatile position that evolves daily to fulfill both clinical and administrative responsibilities within the practice. Key duties include assisting healthcare providers with clinical tasks and patient interactions, as well as managing various administrative functions to ensure efficient operations for both patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct clinical tasks, monitor and document vital signs, prepare examination areas, ensure equipment is sanitized, and support healthcare providers in delivering patient care, adhering to training and regulatory standards.
  • Manage patient check-ins, confirm/update personal information, schedule appointments, process insurance authorizations, and handle patient inquiries, including follow-ups and medication refills.
  • Organize patient documentation, collect outstanding payments and co-pays, perform daily financial reconciliations, and maintain accurate patient records, including managing electronic communications.
  • Engage in team discussions to address responsibilities, patient concerns, and quality improvement initiatives, contributing to office committees as necessary.
  • Oversee phone communications, including answering and directing calls, scheduling and confirming appointments, and facilitating smooth patient flow within the practice.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on clinical documentation, including prior authorizations, disability forms, and medication renewals to maintain compliance and efficiency.
Essential Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent experience.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and the capacity to sit or stand for extended periods. Must be able to operate necessary equipment for the role.
Work Environment:
  • Onsite position.
