Job Summary:

Baptist Health Care is seeking a highly skilled Patient Safety Advisor to join our team. As a Patient Safety Advisor, you will play a vital role in promoting a culture of safety and identifying opportunities to enhance patient safety within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate the Patient Safety Committee: Develop agendas, manage attendance and minutes, and track action items to ensure effective communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Conduct Patient Safety Surveys: Plan, execute, and analyze surveys to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address safety concerns.
  • Review and Implement Evidence-Based Practices: Stay up-to-date with the latest safety standards and regulations, and work with clinical leaders to ensure that our services meet or exceed these standards.
  • Collaborate with Quality Professionals: Work closely with quality professionals and clinical leaders to develop and implement patient safety initiatives that drive continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert: Provide guidance and support to medical staff and hospital departments on safety science and best practices.
  • Analyze Data and Identify Trends: Collect and analyze data to identify trends in patient safety risks and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Stay Informed of National and State Mandates: Remain current with national and state patient safety mandates and ensure that our organization is in compliance with these regulations.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of relevant experience in hospital patient safety, risk management, or quality improvement.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
  • Master's degree in a healthcare-related field preferred.
  • Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida required.
