Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team at ProCare Therapy. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IEPs that cater to the diverse learning abilities of students.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and other specialists to enhance student learning and development.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, modifying teaching approaches as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians to update them on student progress and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid Special Education Teaching License or eligibility for certification.
  • Proven experience working with students with a range of learning needs and disabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive tools.
  • Understanding of behavior management techniques and positive behavior support strategies.
