Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and cultivate the HVAC service team, which encompasses responsibilities such as recruitment, termination, employee discipline, scheduling, performance evaluations, and directing work assignments to ensure optimal productivity.
- Coordinate the activities of maintenance, service, and indoor air quality departments to enhance operational efficiency; utilize system-generated and locally produced reports to assess field performance and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
- Address customer concerns and complaints to guarantee satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the general manager in the formulation and management of the departmental budget.
- Generate reports and metrics regarding departmental operations, along with maintaining records of inventory, tools, and vehicles.
- Review reports with management to ensure alignment with operational goals.
- Instruct teams on the proper application of materials and adherence to quality standards.
- Examine payroll records to confirm accurate technician compensation.
- Communicate with dispatchers to ensure the appropriate assignment of technicians based on service requirements.
- Assess staff to identify training needs and opportunities for development.
- Ensure company vehicles are adequately stocked, defective warranty parts are returned, and standard stock is ordered and replenished as necessary.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned by the branch or general manager.
- Ability to lift and maneuver equipment weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Capability to crawl, climb, kneel, squat, bend, and reach overhead.
- Experience working on ladders.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- A minimum of 3 years of management experience is required.
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems is essential.
- A valid driver's license is necessary.
- Strong supervisory, communication, and computer skills are required.
- Willingness to work outside of regular business hours as needed.
