Job Summary:

Advantage SCI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Clearance Specialist to join our team in support of our federal government agency's Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) operations/management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security clearance procedures, confidentiality protocols, and intelligence operations coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Security Clearance Management: Coordinate, develop, and implement local SCIF Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Emergency Plans (EP), policies, and guidance, including the preparation of SCIF documentation required for accreditation.
  • SCIF Inspections and Support: Conduct SCIF inspections, corrective action planning, and on-site support to ensure compliance with security protocols.
  • Courier and Access Management: Process and issue Courier Orders and Aircraft Courier Authorizations, and coordinate with stakeholders for SCIF accreditation/certification for classified IT.
  • Security Testing and Reviews: Conduct Semi and Annual IDS testing and USM directed Security Review, Annual Self-Inspections, SOP/EP reviews, and EP testing.
  • Access Control and Visitor Management: Institute and maintain access process to authorized SCIF users, maintain access control roster, and execute visitor control functions, including security clearance verification.
  • Security Incident Response: Investigate known or suspected security violations, incidents, and unauthorized disclosures, and ensure SCIF integrity through alarm monitoring, management, and auditing of the access control system.
  • Clearance and Access Administration: Receive and validate incoming clearances and accesses, pass clearances and SCI accesses, prepare Visit Authorization Request (VAR) and Permanent Certifications, and verify/vet news media personnel/equipment for SCIF interviews.
  • Foreign Travel and Contact Management: Review and process foreign travel/contact requests and verify/vet foreign nationals.
  • Training and Compliance: Administer the annual SCI and Derivative Classification Refresher training, and coordinate/executing Co-Utilization Authorizations.
  • Alternate Information System Security Officer (AISSO): Serve as the Alternate Information System Security Officer (AISSO) for designated SCIF space, and service industrial security SCIFs in the National Capital Region.
  • Security System Monitoring: Conduct onsite monitoring of security systems and respond as necessary to system failures/power outages to provide security support of the space.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma
  • Experience: Minimum Four (4) Years' experience as a Special Security Representative or similar position with duties as described above.
  • Clearance: Must have an active TS/SCI clearance
  • Skills: Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel, and excellent written and oral reporting skills, interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:

• Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
• Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach
• Able to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally.
• Noise level: Low to moderate
