Job Summary

As a Delivery Service Representative at Pep Boys, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service through safe and timely delivery of parts and tires to all locations within the Tire DC or Tire Hub loop. You will be the face of our company, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a delivery truck safely and efficiently, ensuring all delivery loads are stacked, padded, and properly secured.
  • Verify the load accuracy against the Bill of Lading and acquire the appropriate signatures.
  • Load and unload product on the delivery truck by hand, hand truck, or dolly.
  • Effectively communicate with all store associates, management, and customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License with no DUIs (or related offenses).
  • Successful completion of Background and Drug tests.
  • Ability to read instructions, policies, procedures, bills of lading, and product descriptions and complete forms.
  • Must have basic knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions.
  • Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, and placing merchandise and supplies up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Frequent standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Frequent reaching overhead and below the knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting.
  • Ability to climb up and down ladders to retrieve and stock merchandise.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, or by using telecommunications equipment.
  • Ability to enter and locate information on computer.
  • Ability to visually verify information, often in small print.
